Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: carrier management, support of business development incl. pricing, development and management of the logistics routings, retail compliance, system configuration management, metrics to fulfill internal and external customer expectations. Overall Responsibilities : Responsible for all transportation activities within North America Lead the Transportation operations of the organization, including freight management, logistics, and retailer compliance Support Global freight initiatives Establish or monitor specific transportation-based performance measurements Provide leadership and solution design support to other business functions in the development of client solutions and transportation pricing requests Drive the development and cultivation of positive business relationships with the company’s logistics customers and vendors Direct pricing and performance reviews in order to identify service and revenue improvement opportunities and to manage costs Manage all aspects of carrier usage, including onboarding, replacing, and process improvement Conduct pricing negotiations with carriers via RFP, ad hoc Support implementation of customer requirements Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, volumes and carriers. Analyze customer data and establish pricing for freight services Manage a team of approx. 10 people at various locations via direct and indirect reporting lines Systemic routing, carrier integration, carrier assignment and retail routing guide compliance. Escalation point for day to day activities and troubleshooting Support the development and maintenance of standard operation procedure for logistics process nationwide Job Requirements: Exceptional knowledge of freight management processes Excellent verbal/written communication skills Strong organizational, and interpersonal skills Self-directed and goal orientated Ability to present and explain solutions Team orientated Knowledge of SAP Warehouse and TMS solutions Fluent in Microsoft Office applications Experience with retailer routing guides Ability to travel up to 30% Strong analytic and problem solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 10 years’ experience with multi location operational and planning skills Degree in management or logistics fields preferred Physical Demands & Work Environment: Hybrid work environment (50% office and 50% remote) Standard General Security Roles and Responsibilities Understand and adhere to policies, guidelines and procedures pertaining to the protection of Information Assets, integrity of customer transactions, proper and ethical utilization of access privileges and resources provided to perform the role.
