The Wholesale Sales Development Trainer reports to the VP of Corporate Training and is primarily responsible for executing on the training and education program and processes for Interfirst Mortgage Company’s Wholesale sales division. This position will help develop and train all new and existing wholesale sales staff, as well as overall product, process, and soft skills training and coaching. This role helps create and execute an effective training program for the wholesale sales division. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Work directly with training colleagues and wholesale sales management team to develop new training content, internalize and prepare for delivery of new programs Facilitate sales training programs effectively to all new and existing wholesale sales staff Meet with stakeholders, when necessary, to plan work and solicit feedback and requirements Conducting skills gap analyses to identify areas of improvement by working closely with the sales team to identify challenges they face on-the-job. Train all sales staff on programs, products, and systems highlighting their differentiation and department’s best practices. Provide excellent customer service, address needs of the department in a timely and effective manner and model suggestive selling techniques Participate in all phases of the content development cycle including needs analysis, planning, designing, developing, implementing, evaluating and editing. Manage multiple program development projects simultaneously by prioritizing project deadlines. Use effective training methods to ensure employees have a good understanding of competencies and can demonstrate the proper knowledge, skills and abilities. Align sales training programs to effectively impact key business indicators. Measure transfer of learning from training courses back to the business. Requirements Minimum Required Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline 5 years of Sales and/or sales leadership experience in mortgage lending Preferred, But Not Required Prior experience training others in a formal capacity Prior experience in wholesale lending, preferably in a call-center environment Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficiency using CRM and other sales technology tools Proficiency in office support software such as Word/Excel and/or Google Documents/Sheets Strong customer service experience; good verbal and written communication skills Highly responsive and well organized; deadline driven; a team contributor Other Responsibilities of this role require that the incumbent reports to work at the IMC onsite office location with some flexibility to work remotely per management approval. Within a remote working environment it is expected that employees are readily accessible throughout the business day, responding quickly to email, chat, phone, and other communications.
