The role We are a fast-growing startup that is looking for an Outbound Sales Manager to help build, coach, and lead our outbound sales motion from the ground up As B12's Outbound Sales Manager, you'll lead the charge on defining how we'll sell, building the sales process, personally testing and proving the model, then transitioning to hiring and leading your team. This person will play a pivotal role by making their mark in how B12 executes this sales motion and will define the strategy from the beginning. The Outbound Sales Manager needs to be comfortable working in a "player-coach" role while we're proving our model, then transitioning to a full time management role once the model has been finalized. As an Outbound Sales Manager you will: Work very closely with our VP of Sales and CS to determine our outbound sales go to market strategy. Build our sales scripting and messaging, as it aligns with our ICP and value proposition. Define our sales process not limited to sequences, cadences, and systems. Personally prove and execute the sales process roughly 50% of the time until it has been finalized. Provide input on our lead acquisition, lead segmentation, and lead routing process. After proving the sales motion, provide training, guidance, and management to our team of outbound AEs. Conduct 1:1s with your reports, set goals, provide feedback, and serve as a resource and mentor to the outbound AE team. Participate in the AE hiring process by reviewing candidates, conducting phone interviews, and working closely with the Recruiting team to hit hiring targets. Shadow AE calls, providing feedback to the team, noting trends, and conducting training for the entire AE team to advance their skills. Partner with the Inbound Sales team and Customer Success team to share best practices and discover how best the teams can partner together to ensure a seamless prospective customer experience. Work with the Marketing team to provide feedback on our GTM strategy, lead generation strategy and lead quality. Work with the RevOps team to identify opportunities in how we build our processes and reporting. You'd be a good fit if: You've managed an outbound sales team in the past and have experience leading and training AEs who manage an end to end sales motion from cold call to close. You've led or been a key player on a team that built or heavily refined an outbound sales motion. You have demonstrated a solid track record in leadership with at least 3 years of experience in a contact center or customer facing setting where cold calls were a key function of the role. You have experience providing feedback on what reporting you need and know how you'd use that data to take action. You're passionate about teaching and mentorship in sales. You're comfortable with change, uncertainty, and strategically testing until you uncover a system that consistently works.
