??Job Title: Director, YourTango Experts A work-from-home leadership position We are looking for a passionate, experienced leader to oversee YourTango Experts, a B2B division of YourTango that assists healing and helping professionals build their businesses and thrive in their work. We are the “Experts to the Experts” in supporting professionals who provide guidance and healing in the areas of mental health, wellness, relationships, family, empowerment, “alternative” treatments, and more. The ideal candidate has proven experience as a business leader, including P&L responsibilities, successfully managing a team of professionals, the ability to think through and execute a successful strategy, has a background in sales and marketing, is a proactive problem-solver, has enthusiasm for the healing profession, enjoys leading a team and helping innumerable individuals achieve success. YourTango Experts is a compelling, one-of-a-kind membership program geared at assisting healing and helping professionals showcase themselves, including getting their research, insights, and advice out there to benefit YourTango and others in need across the web. We serve as a powerful, proven marketing, coaching, PR, publishing and community resource (and friend) for healers and helpers of all stripes: from therapists and coaches to counselors and mediators to MDs and Reiki practitioners and beyond. This is a highly visible, very entrepreneurial, and critically important role that reports into the CEO. YourTango’s team has operated very successfully as a virtual workplace for many years. We are a close knit group of professionals that get a ton done working from our homes We are also a collection of parents, daughters and sons, friends and family members who have serious career ambitions but who also have responsibilities to other people (and pets) in our lives and so we are happy to offer flexibility, as needed, in our team’s schedules. Objectives of this Role - Lead and grow YTE as a stand-alone division, which is highly complementary to YourTango’s larger publishing business - Lead, manage and empower the YTE team to achieve greater success together - Manage the P&L, including achieving revenue growth and profitability - Build a successful membership business with high retention rates - Oversee and guide the sales and marketing initiatives, including scaling the membership using sophisticated digital marketing methods - Provide strategic guidance in our offerings and the operations of YTE - Develop the membership and a la carte offerings to be highly effective in helping our membership achieve their business goals, including being a wonderful resource and source of inspiration and insight to our Expert members - Partner with leaders and team members across YourTango to integrate YTE and cooperate to achieve its full potential, including using our Experts as a highly valuable source of content, insights, thought leadership and more. - Work to raise the profile of YourTango Experts as an authoritative resource in the mental health, wellness and personal development categories by showcasing the tremendous expertise in our core categories and featuring the known thought leaders and rising stars in our space. - Help grow this business from a small membership model to one that is vastly larger in its scale and scope, ideally building YourTango Experts into a leading B2B brand in the healing and helping space, with an eye toward things like: developing a live events component, paid programming (ideally offering CEs), robust mutually-beneficial partnerships with other organizations and more. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: - Develop and oversee a successful sales and marketing strategy to scale the YTE membership - Provide strategic guidance around our membership offerings, including improving retention rates and ensuring the offerings make economic sense - Achieve and increase profitability - Manage, empower and support YTE team members - Provide reporting and insights to YourTango CEO and management team - Troubleshoot and problem solve as needed Monitor relevant industry news, trends, and authors/thought leaders Skills and Qualifications: - Experienced. We’re looking for someone with 5 to 50 years of leadership experience - Data-focused. Experience using data and actionable insights, along with various analytical tools, to identify opportunities, patterns and successes. - Proven. A strong track record of successfully leading teams to achieve success and profitability - Driven. We are looking for a highly motivated, competitive leader who is eager to make a positive impact on our business – as well as on the many expert businesses who are our members - Organized. Someone able to juggle many moving parts without getting overwhelmed. You love leading a team, working on strategy, thinking through sales conversions while improving our member services department and keeping an eye on industry trends. - Knowledgeable, curious and caring. We are looking for a team member who is in-tune with what’s happening in the current mental health crisis; are knowledgeable and curious about what other businesses and individuals are doing (from digital media to telehealth to other membership-based offerings) and care a LOT about how we can positively impact our Expert members’ business, the many people they help, and the many millions of readers that come to YourTango to consume our content.
