The Business Development Specialist (government contracts) role is for a true hunter with experience closing business with the Federal Government. The candidates must have existing active relationships with key decision makers within the Federal Government. This candidate could eventually move into a leadership role as the business grows. The position would start remotely but you must reside in the Washington DC metro area (Northern VA, Maryland, etc) In the future the position will be partial remote partial office based in the D.C. area. Responsibilities You will be responsible for selling our entire portfolio of offerings (Consulting, Staffing, Training, Analytics) to the Federal Government. You must demonstrate the ability to execute business development functions with minimal supervision, and work with the Federal Government Sector. Your experience in building relationships/partnerships with Prime's and Subcontractors and pursuing new business must be top notch. You must have extensive knowledge of Federal Government RFP Process, and provide key insights to our proposal team to help achieve more of these contracts. This position may eventually lead our Federal Government Practice team in DC and could have the option to manage other Cogent employees.
