Description 18 Coffees is currently seeking a Senior Engagement Manager to grow our business and help lead our engagements with a few of our firm’s top clients. The 18 Coffees Senior Engagement Manager drives our client engagements from start to finish: from conception and strategy development to implementation and execution. They are a client service leader who owns and manages our most important relationships. Our client work spans several industries, with this role primarily focused on our consulting client projects that deliver on strategy, marketing, organizational development, and change management. 18 Coffees is a rapidly growing company, and this position is full-time and fully remote. Within 1 Month, You’ll Learn about 18 Coffees consulting work and Community Partnership program, understanding our firm’s differentiated value offerings for consulting clients and familiarizing yourself with our strategic approach Begin to understand 18 Coffees business strategy, and start to contribute ideas for company direction and new business Dive into 2-3 of 18 Coffees’ most important client projects with your remote team to understand current project progress, most immediate priorities/deliverables, and the client scope of work Be introduced to client teams and partners, and begin asserting yourself as an 18 Coffees leader in person (virtually), and in writing Contribute meaningfully to client strategies around business transformation in virtual meetings, and in email Be a Slack pro, communicating and collaborating seamlessly with the 18 Coffees team in a remote atmosphere, including the firm’s Managing Partners, other Engagement Managers, Associates, and independent contractor team members Engage meaningfully in internal team meetings and brainstorms Participate in Community Partnership program events as an attendee and representative of 18 Coffees, as client work allows Within 3 Months, You’ll Lead production of key deliverables on client projects within the scope of work and timeline, which may include conducting stakeholder interviews and other research, producing work plans, or coordinating production of client-facing presentation decks/materials Write compelling recommendations, reports, strategy documents and own client correspondence Teach and guide a remote team through consulting work and service delivery for client projects, managing multiple projects’ distributed teams of associates or independent contractors as needed Facilitate training and ideation sessions with key client teams Make decisions to proactively ensure project progression, problem solving nimbly and with confidence and managing up to partners as necessary Ensure full utilization of project and team resources Begin to build new potential client relationships and contribute meaningfully to the sales pipeline Within 6 Months, You’ll Be able to distill a high-level business challenge from a current or prospective client and break down a recommended strategy for the team Own client services and engagement management start-to-finish for top 18 Coffees clients, including leading and attending client meetings and production of strategic deliverables Have cemented yourself as a go-to, trusted advisor for senior-level client stakeholders on assigned project engagements, with an established track record of driving value for senior-level clients Inspire confidence in team’s ability to take on new client work by outlining clear roles and responsibilities for new projects and translating big-picture concepts into actionable plans Proactively identify need areas, watch-outs, or solutions to client project challenges before there’s a problem, with an eye on seamless service delivery Develop and lead RFP responses for new business opportunities, including deck development Have contributed meaningfully to the sales pipeline, or closed specific new business Within 12 Months, You’ll Present and explain findings to appropriate senior level executive clients Arrange for or provide training to people affected by change Replenish knowledge of industry, products and field Add to the firm’s thought leadership around topics such as: social impact, business transformation, digital transformation, communications strategy, or change management Have closed specific new business and owned new client relationships Proactively contribute to the Community Partnership program via new member referrals, programming suggestions, or training offerings Requirements Experience as an engagement lead at a consulting firm, account lead or VP at an agency, or an internal innovation lead a plus. We need someone who is confident and comfortable leading in a client-facing role, and who can bring their project management experience to bear from day one. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Engagement Managers must be able to clearly communicate the goals of the client and the strategy developed by our team to various stakeholders, both verbally and written. Proven ability to manage large projects, including motivating and supporting integrated, remote teams that may vary by client project. They can easily work with everyone from graphic designers to project managers to developers. Familiarity with Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Suite, Slack, other related project management and common communications tools, as well as knowledge of digital industry trends preferred.
