About the Role Level2 is looking for an infrastructure & reliability engineer to help scale our platform, streamline developer experience, and improve observability at all levels of the stack. Most of our infrastructure is on AWS and our application stack primarily consists of .NET Core, React, Postgres (RDS), and Kubernetes (EKS). Primary Responsibilities Contribute to and maintain Level2's infrastructure, monitoring tools, and CI/CD pipelines Build tools and services to help fellow Level2 engineers deliver features safely and quickly Work with product teams to establish availability and performance objectives, measure progress towards those objectives, and implement changes to achieve them Debug issues in a distributed system across multiple levels of the stack Understand the changing technical & process needs of product teams and ensure Level2's infrastructure and tooling meets those needs Qualifications: 3 years of software engineering experience 2 years working with containers and operating Kubernetes 1 year(s) of experience using Terraform or other IaC tools (CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.) 2 years experience creating build and deployment pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins (w/ Jenkinsfiles), or GitHub Actions Experience with application performance management (APM), logging, tracing, and other monitoring tools Experience configuring and operating services offered by AWS, GCP, or Azure Comfortable on the command line Familiar with common design and architectural patterns for building microservices Well versed in authentication and authorization patterns used by multi-platform applications Proficient in at least one compiled language (C#, Java, Go, etc.) Has a good understanding of networking concepts (e.g. routing, firewalls, proxies) and technologies (e.g. HTTP, TLS, Nginx) Preferred Qualifications: Experience with New Relic, Prometheus, Jaeger, Elasticsearch, or .NET Core is a plus
