Meta is seeking a Group Technical Program Manager with extensive development experience in product quality including Performance, Reliability, and Efficiency (PRE) or tooling for developer experiences. This person will lead a group of Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to partner with Product and Infrastructure teams to collaboratively define, manage, and drive cross functional programs, platforms and infrastructure that enable the delivery of Meta products and features with an emphasis on media (audio, video, broadcasting and so on), calling, or real-time communication experiences. They will be responsible for identifying team focus areas, and driving impact where there are complex cross-functional needs from the respective product groups, as well as significant business and technology solution opportunities. In addition, they will provide analytical insight and foresight to help shape long-term strategy, and drive planning and prioritization for the teams they support. In driving execution of these plans, they will define and align cross team engagements which bring clarity and focus, and enable the easy flow of information and plans between people and teams, through the creation of effective communications at scale. The ideal candidate will be able to bring strong thought leadership, technical understanding, execution excellence, and people management experience to major initiatives, and core features, resulting in performant, reliable, efficient, high quality product and platform infrastructure that scales to the next billion people worldwide. Group Technical Program Manager Responsibilities: Hire and Support a team of high-performing TPMs. Coach and grow the people on the team, aligning meaningful career experiences with individual interests. Demonstrated ability to attract top talent at all career stages and ability to scale the team quickly to accommodate new business priorities. Lead an organization with customer focus and effective communication with a focus on end-to-end experiences. Ensure the team is aligned on the most important priorities and executing to deliver successful outcomes, even as priorities change. Build a network of customers and partners to identify opportunities to expand the team’s impact, uncovering new opportunities or unsolved problems. Influence strategy and vision for remote presence health and tools as a leader. Understand the role of PRE in the quality of Meta’s remote presence platform and Remote Presence engineering team’s tooling need to move faster and innovate. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. 7 years of software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management experience. 3 years of experience as a People Manager. Experience managing an organization of program or product managers, including building and growing the team. Hands-on experience being a Technical Program Leader across organizations. Track record of successfully implementing and managing infrastructure programs familiarity with the software as a service business model and its platform product development lifecycle. Proven experience thinking Customer-first, successful track record in building strategies and solutions to meet Customer needs through a data driven approach. Experience working with clients to flesh out requirement sets for infrastructure.
