The position will partner directly with various teams across the organization to provide analytical and financial support. It is based in Las Vegas, Nevada Primary Responsibilities: Financial Analysis: Present complex financial analyses in a simplified, concise manner, with recommendations based on the outcomes of the analyses Partner with operational and physician leadership to oversee and measure the performance of various initiatives Perform profitability and performance analysis of revenue contracts Timely calculate productivity and quality-based payments to network physician groups Income Statement Management: Collaborate with senior leaders to identify efficiencies in SG&A, workforce management, and medical affordability initiatives Calculate and analyze business profitability by product and department Support the consolidation and elimination of intercompany transactions Forecasting and Budgeting: Partner with business leaders to drive budget creation and periodic forecasting Develop cost/benefit analyses to support staffing needs for key strategies and initiatives Participate in the development of company-wide business plans and strategies Support month-end close and reporting: Manage the reporting and analysis of Revenues, Medical Costs, and SG&A for the month-end close process Assist with driving the consolidated month-end variance analysis process and report financial performance results to senior management Prepare reporting packages to be distributed to business leadership Create and manage various ad hoc analyses and financial models for senior management Produce well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for stakeholders Critically think through complex issues and provide recommendations for improvement You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, related field, or relevant work experience 2 years of progressive professional experience in finance and/or accounting Advanced level of proficiency with MS Excel Ability to effectively perform and support transactional-based finance and accounting transactions Executive presence with strong communication and influencing skills Ability to translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences Ability to solve complex problems through collaboration with operations and other resources Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe.
