J Sherman Studio is a highly collaborative environment where you will work closely with other designers, the project manager, and the creative & content strategist, along with our network of partners and collaborators. THE OPPORTUNITY Account executive and communications specialist focused on supporting and creating depth with existing clients and growing new business; Massachusetts residents only This role has one clear unifying thread: creative and strategic problem solving We are seeking a multi-talented associate, with a minimum of five years of experience in an agency or creative services environment. This position requires 25–40 hours per week. This position is remote through 2021. Massachusetts residents only. You are: Highly professional, but looking for a non-corporate environment Dedicated, responsible, organized, and detail oriented Adept at supporting multiple clients while simultaneously looking for new opportunities Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to meet deadlines A knowledgeable multitasker, capable of shifting gears and reprioritizing with ease Experienced and confident interacting directly with clients An active listener and a strong, engaging presenter A team player who enjoys collaboration and asks for input Calm under pressure and have a good sense of humor if things don’t go according to plan A problem solver always looking for win-win solutions and opportunities to improve, innovate, and grow RESPONSIBILITIES Big picture Understand a client’s needs to determine how the Studio can meet them Turn ideas into compelling and clear recommendations, including written proposals and slide presentations Present creative solutions and project recommendations to clients Stay up to speed on industry trends Smaller details Develop a database of contact information in partnership with the project manager Respond to feedback and follow up with prospects and clients to ensure needs are being met Handle general negotiations including budget, timing, and scope challenges Identify and pursue new business opportunities and develop sales strategies Recognize opportunities and turn leads into long-lasting partnerships Support Studio marketing and communications with strategic input Define project scopes and review and support Studio contracts in partnership with the project manager REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS Minimum of five years experience working as an account executive in an agency or creative services environment Bachelor's degree Solid knowledge of marketing, brand, and design principles Strong working knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides in addition to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint Familiarity with project management tools such as Trello, Basecamp, and proofing software NEXT STEP We are excited to hear from you.
